The installation of tripod turnstiles is crucial to their operational performance and determines whether the entire project passes inspection. So, how should they be installed correctly and reasonably? The key points are outlined below.

I. Determine the Plan
Finalize the plan through consultation with the client. Assess the site dimensions (width and length) to determine the number of units that can be installed and whether to choose a vertical tripod turnstile or a bridge-style tripod turnstile. The dimensions are 420x330x980 mm for the vertical model and 1200x280x1000 mm for the bridge-style model; the distance from the turnstile arm to the housing is 510 mm. Consequently, the footprint is 420x(330+510) mm for the vertical model and 1200x(280+510) mm for the bridge-style model. When selecting the model, fully consider the clearance between turnstiles and arms, the footprint of each unit, the placement, and the wiring method (exposed vs. concealed). Once the plan and objectives are set, await the arrival of the turnstiles at the site.

II. Determine Positioning and Wiring
Based on the finalized plan, determine the specific installation dimensions and prepare the embedded conduits. Leave a gap of 50–100 mm between adjacent turnstiles to allow the top cover to be opened for adjustments or maintenance; never install them without this clearance. Embed two plastic conduits (sized 3/4″ to 1″) between the turnstiles: one for power cables (high voltage) and the other for signal cables (low voltage). Do not run power and signal cables through the same conduit, as this can interfere with communication performance. The embedded conduits should protrude 30–40 mm above the ground. For vertical turnstiles, the wiring entry point should ideally be at the center of the bottom; for bridge-style turnstiles, it should be on the side panels (since the center bottom of the bridge-style unit is enclosed). III. Anchoring and Alignment: Secure the base using four M10x100 expansion bolts, ensuring the unit is stable (free from wobbling) and perfectly level. Maintain visual uniformity across the installation (it is advisable to use a guide line to ensure precise longitudinal and lateral alignment). When installing multiple tripod turnstiles in a row, connect and align them sequentially to ensure proper operation along the straight line.
